Job Description
The Manager – CHP/ AHP‘s Roles & Responsibilities are as follows:
• He is responsible for the Operation & Maintenance of CHP & AHP and reports to the Head – Mech Maint.
• He is responsible for identifying suitable Service Providers for the O&M of CHP & AHP and award of such Contracts.
• He is responsible for preparing & implementing an Operating & Maintenance Plan for both the systems.
• He is responsible to ensure the Operation of both the Plants to meet the Generation Schedule of the Main Plant.
• He is responsible for making a complete Maintenance Schedule for Planned Preventive Maintenance.
• He is responsible for incorporating all the Maintenance Plans in the MM Module of SAP and utilizes the CMMS facilities.
• He is responsible for identifying and planning for the Spares & Consumables requirement and to generate the Purchase Requests for the same.
• He is responsible to re-schedule the Maintenance Activities to give priority to major issues including Breakdown Maintenance.
• He is responsible to identify Spares which need to be procured from the OEMs and also to maintain regular liaison with the OEMs to ensure timely support.
• He is responsible for ensuring procurement action is taken for Spares & Consumables requisitioned by his Section, expedite the supplies, inspect & accept the materials and also ensure timely payment to the Suppliers. He shall optimize the Inventory Costs.
• He is responsible for interacting with all related Departments like Operation & other Maintenance Sections to ensure smooth & timely execution of jobs.
• He assists the Head – Mech Maint for finalizing the Annual Operating Plan for the Plant Maintenance and to achieve the Targets set by the Management.
• He is responsible for adopting the best Engineering Practices, Systems and Procedures in the Maintenance and Upkeep of the Plant.
• He is responsible for devising & implementation of Management Plans for improvement in the Plant performance.
• He is responsible for all Statutory Compliances related to the Plant Equipment and Tools & Tackles and maintaining all records of the validity of the test/ calibration certifications.
• He is assisted by the Maintenance Engineers & Supervisors working in the Mechanical Maintenance Department.
